This past weekend, we learned that snow was supposed to fall only a short hour's drive from where we live, so we packed up the camera - as well as our coats, gloves, scarves & hats, jumped in the car, and went in search of winter!

Back in the Spring (I think it was), I mentioned that there were changes coming to Eden Reflections Photography... and then I didn't say anything else about it. Our original plans became delayed - by two seasons! However, the time has come.

We're moving!

Eden Reflections Photography will soon have a new home in Arizona!

Once again, I'm hearing the voice of Willie Nelson in my head as we say our last goodbyes and climb into the truck, excited for our next set of adventures!

On the road again

We will leave for the first part of our journey in about half an hour.

As you can see, we haven't chosen the most direct route.
We are taking the next 4 days to reach our destination and planning to stop at several scenic locations including (but not limited to): the Bonneville Salt Flats, Canyonlands National Park, Arches National Park, and Canyon de chelly.

And We're Off!

This wonderful group wanted some fun portraits to give to their parents for Christmas, so we went out to this perfect 197 acre park to capture the best hours of sun left to this beautiful Seattle day.

In the end, we both scedaddled out of there and survived to tell about it!

Big changes are coming in 2011 for Eden Reflections Photography.

The Eden Reflections website and blog are both scheduled for facelifts and updates later this year, while the studio is currently being packed safely away for an exciting move to a new location!

Three Years Old.

This little guy had me laughing from the moment he walked in the door wearing a fedora, one winter glove, and a mischievous grin.

He also had me running! He was a little firecracker - running around the studio, trying to hang upside down and fly from things. At one point, he even managed to topple one of the backdrops...

Kyra Wines, one of my favorite Washington wineries, asked me to photograph their newest line of labels. Not only do my husband and I love their wines, but the owners are wonderful, friendly people and we have fun visiting with them at their winery that is located right here in Moses Lake.

Last weekend my husband and I flew down to Genoa, Nevada to photograph a wedding.

Genoa is an adorable town, just South of Carson City and tucked up against the mountains. Many of the homes and restaurants were built in the late 1800's.

The wedding was held outdoors in the charming garden of La Ferme, a local French restaurant with the most delicious 'Country French' cuisine and a very cozy bar! The ceremony was beautiful, touching, and complete with humorous moments and a lot of laughter - a perfect reflection of this couple.

We took photos after the ceremony and we were only half finished when it began to snow!

Flowers were blooming all around us and at first I thought a gust of wind had just released hundreds of tiny white petals from one of the many trees in the garden;
I just couldn't fathom that it was snowing... in May!

The snow added a few extra special moments to what had already been a perfect and memorable day. Both the snow and the fun continued throughout the reception and long into the evening.

We are so happy that we were invited to share such a special day with them!
